Privacy policy
Effective 21 October 2026 · applies to the Conquest Android app and conquestquiz.pages.dev
Conquest is built to keep your study material and results on your own device. There are no accounts, no ads, no trackers and no analytics.
What stays on your device
- Files you open (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, EPUB, images and others) are read on your device. The files themselves are never uploaded.
- Your quizzes, answers, results, history, settings, theme and downloaded music are stored only on your device (browser or app storage). Erase them any time in Settings → Erase everything, or by uninstalling the app.
- Image text recognition (OCR) runs on your device.
What is sent over the internet, and only when you ask for it
- Phone AI / Device AI (optional): questions are written by an AI model that runs entirely on your phone or computer. Your text is not sent anywhere. The model file (Qwen2.5, Apache 2.0) is downloaded once from Hugging Face when you ask for it; that download is an ordinary file download (Hugging Face sees your IP address, as with any website). You can delete it in Settings.
- Cloud AI question generation: the extracted text of the part being turned into questions is sent to our generator at conquestquiz.pages.dev, which runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers AI). It is used only to write your questions and is not stored by Conquest. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to its infrastructure.
- Links and topics: when you paste a link or search a topic, the link or topic is sent to our server so it can fetch the page, the YouTube captions, Wikipedia articles and news headlines for you. In the Android app, YouTube captions may be read directly from YouTube using your phone's connection.
- Your own API key (optional): if you add a Gemini or OpenAI-compatible key in Settings, it is stored only on your device and sent only to the provider you chose, together with the text being turned into questions. That provider's privacy policy applies.
- Extra music: tracks you choose to download come from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org).
What we don't do
- No sign-up, no names, emails or phone numbers collected.
- No advertising or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of data.
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
Children
Conquest is a study tool suitable for students. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
